A wooden plank table placed under the trees,
balls of coloured wool swing from branches in the breeze.
Cloth of bright white; with a rainbow of dots. There'd be dishes and wishes and giant tea pots.
Rhubarb syrup disolved in some rum, in apothecary bottles borrowed from mum.
Bird cages with pastries placed at either end, wonky chair I v'e forgotten to mend.
A White rabbits watch face on cookies we see, white and black chocolate just waiting for me.
Bread without crusts stuffed and then rolled, hard boiled eggs all painted gold.
Popcorn in teacups like grandma had, whistles and thistles it all looks quite mad.
There are sumptuous pot bellied jugs, filled with salted caramel sauce; hanging on the arm of a chair is a nose bag from a horse.
The cake fills the middle, a bit crooked and squashed. The cuttlery shining although none of it's matched.
A colander sits with some peas in the pod and the Cheshire cat smiling, it is very odd.
My scene is set, so please take a seat if you dare, but just remember there's nobody else there.
